Facilities Maintenance Electrician

We're looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Electrician to join our clients team, providing safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance support across the company's facilities.
You'll play a key role in ensuring maximum machine and plant up-time by delivering both proactive and reactive maintenance, while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in their technical expertise and enjoys working within a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with the company's Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
* Deliver timely and effective internal maintenance and repair services across the site.
* Maintain accurate records for all maintenance activities, including permits to work, risk assessments, and service schedules.
* Liaise with and support external contractors to ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
* Support environmental improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for energy savings and waste reduction.
* Assist the OHSE team in executing their health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
* Carry out unsupervised reactive maintenance, fault finding, installation, servicing, testing, and commissioning across electrical, mechanical, and building services.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of plant and equipment.
* Work in accordance with company policies, workplace regulations, and all relevant Health & Safety legislation.
* Maintain communication with the Value Stream Manager, attending meetings and contributing to performance reviews and improvement discussions.
Key Skills & Experience:
* HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* NVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical discipline (or equivalent)
* City & Guilds / BTEC qualification (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
* Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Basic plumbing knowledge or experience
* Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Understanding of contractor control, energy efficiency, and Lean continuous improvement
