What you’ll be doing
*
Fabricating products to job card and drawing specifications to required quality standards
Checking accuracy and quality of pre-prepared items prior to fabrication
*
Applying multi-run MIG welding for structural steel assemblies
*
Advising the production or supply chain manager of any discrepancies before fabrication
*
Marking finished materials and ensuring correct transfer to dispatch area
*
Maintaining a safe, tidy and organised workstation in the fabrication area
*
Supporting material preparation as required
What you’ll bring
*
Demonstrable MIG welding experience
*
Strong ability to read and work from drawings and job card instructions
*
Personal responsibility for quality assurance before and after fabrication
*
Clear communication with management regarding discrepancies or resourcing needs
*
A commitment to maintaining correct PPE and safe working practices at all times
Working hours
Monday – Friday
07:00 to 15:00
Morning break: 10:00–10:15
Lunch: 12:30–13:00
Work area clean-down: Final 5 minutes of the day
