**SUMMARY:

**

We’re looking for a highly skilled Industrial Fabricator/Welder with a passion for precision and safety — someone just as comfortable laying down perfect Pulse MIG beads as they are wrapping a hot pipe in high-performance insulation. This is a hands-on role that demands precision, a high level of craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of advanced welding techniques in a production or custom fabrication environment. If you're a detail-driven pro who can read blueprints like a second and work with a wide range of materials, we want you on our team.

**KEY DELIVERABLES (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES):

**

**Fabrication/Welding Duties:

**

  • Perform high-quality MIG and Pulse MIG welding on a variety of metal types and thicknesses

  • Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols

  • Fit, tack, and weld components to specified tolerances and dimensions

  • Fabricate components using various hand and power tools, layout equipment, and jigs/fixtures

  • Perform quality inspections on completed welds, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards

  • Maintain welding equipment, ensuring machines are in proper working condition and configured for optimal weld quality

  • Assist in designing and fabricating custom jigs or fixtures when needed

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and fellow fabricators to resolve design or fabrication challenges

  • Operate fabrication machines such as press brakes, saws, shears, and grinders as needed

  • Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Install and repair metal frameworks, structural supports, platforms, and piping.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure welds meet required specifications and standards.

  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices to move heavy components.

**Insulation Duties:

**

  • Measure and cut insulation materials including fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, elastomeric foam, or other industrial-grade insulations.

  • Install insulation around pipes, tanks, vessels, and ductwork to control temperature and reduce energy loss.

  • Apply weatherproof jacketing and sealants for outdoor or corrosive environments.

  • Remove and replace damaged or outdated insulation materials.

  • Ensure all installations meet regulatory codes and safety standards.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

**

**Required:

**

  • Minimum 5 years of welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment.

  • Advanced-level MIG welding skills, including Pulse MIG (stainless and carbon steel experience a plus).

  • Proficiency with blueprint reading.

  • Strong metal fitting and layout skills using fabrication tools and measuring instruments.

  • Able to weld in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).

  • Familiarity with common welding codes and standards.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot or cold environments.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written work orders.

  • Maintain punctual, consistent attendance.

  • Forklift and overhead crane operation experience

  • Experience in lean manufacturing or 5S environments

  • Welding program diploma, job-related coursework, or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.

  • Proficiency with welding techniques and knowledge of metallurgy.

  • Familiarity with industrial insulation practices and materials.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and physical stamina.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

**

Some of the typical physical demands used in performing tasks associated with this position include but are not limited to:

  • Employees must be in good general health with good mental focus, agility, balance, and vision (including close vision work, depth perception, and peripheral vision)

  • Comfortable working in shop conditions (heat, noise, dust, etc.)

    • Frequent exposure to dust, noise, and smells.
  • Capable of wearing PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, and safety glasses

  • Pulling, pushing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crawling, significant finger, hand manipulation, and standing for extended amounts of time.

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move items weighing 50-75 pounds with either teammate or mechanical assistance.

  • Position will involve exposure to heavy steel fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly environment.

  • May have exposure to all weather and temperature variations.

  • Steel-Toe Boots: Required in all manufacturing and job site environments.

  • Hearing Protection: Mandatory in high-noise areas or when operating loud equipment.

  • Gloves: Must be worn when handling sheet metal, tools, or hazardous materials.

  • High-Visibility Clothing: Must be worn on job sites or when working near moving equipment.

  • Hard Hats: Required in all manufacturing and job site environments.
