We are looking for a skilled Fabricator & Truck Mechanic to join our team! If you have experience working with machinery, welding, and fabricating parts, we want to hear from you. Are you a welder looking for a job where it's not the same thing every day? We are looking for someone that can fabricate without prints. Steel & Aluminum Frames for tanks, pumps, and hose reels. Trailers for spraying equipment, and more. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment. Flexible hours with longer hours in the summer season and some overnights required.
Responsibilities:
- DOT inspections
- Maintenance of Fire Equipment
- Help maintain fleet work in research & development department
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair mechanical components and systems without the aid of engineering drawing
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on machinery and equipment
- Measure, weld, cut, and shape materials as needed for fabrication projects
- Use various tools and equipment, such as welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and shears
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Inspect finished products for quality and alignment
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project deadlines are met
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a fabricator and mechanic (welding, machining, fabrication, etc.)
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working with various types of machinery and tools
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in fire camps
- Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and improve skills
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
