Fabricator/Fitter

Ambitek are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator/Fitter to join our client's skilled team based in Royston. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of industrial and commercial projects with a focus on high-quality fabrication and mechanical fitting.



Role Responsibilities:

Fabrication and fitting of industrial pipework



*



Working with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel



*



Installation and maintenance of systems handling steam, condensate, water, compressed air, gas, and chemicals



*



On-site welding to standards including BSEN 287-1, ASME IX, BSEN 4872



*



Steel fabrications including structural steelwork, platforms, mezzanine floors, and handrails



*



Commercial and domestic boiler services, including maintenance and installation



*



Service and repair of industrial heating systems



*



Fabrication and installation of access walkways, security gates, and railings



*



Involvement in machining, plant installation and removal



*



Operation of lifting equipment, including overhead gantries (with certification)



*



All engineers are expected to be trained and licensed to operate forklifts, telehandlers, articulated booms, and scissor lifts



What We’re Looking For:



*



Proven experience in pipe fitting, welding, and general fabrication



*



Competency with a wide range of materials and systems



*



Ability to read technical drawings and work unsupervised on site



*



Relevant trade qualifications and safety certifications



*



Flexibility to work on both short-term and long-term mechanical cover assignments



Rate:



*



£20 per hour



*



CIS or Umbrella only
