Countertop Fabricator (1st Shift and 3rd Shift)

Full Time

L.E. Smith, a subsidiary of Cutting Edge Countertops, has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered.­­­­­

L.E. Smith is looking for a 1st shift Fabricator 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 3rd Shift 9:00 pm - 7:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday. A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using various hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files.

Responsibilities:

• Operating sanders, miter saws, table saw, and routers
• Cutting and assembling countertops to specified sizes
• Cutting and applying build-up
• Banding countertops
• Fabrication of applied edge tops
• Installation of sinks into countertops
• Gluing and laying laminate
• Cutting and finishing backsplashes.
• Applying adhesive and silicone for solid surface tops
• Filing/sanding and cleaning tops for final quality check
• Basic CNC Machine operation
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas

Requirements of the Role:

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.
• Must have good vision, vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read prints, a tape measure, and operate hand tools.
• Good Attendance

• Full-time 1st Shift Position (5:00 AM-3:00 PM Monday through Thursday)
