JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary: Oversees the export shipments of the company by communicating with international customers regarding pricing, order production and shipment, by coordinating with all departments and vendors to ship finished goods to their final destination and provides required export shipment documentation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive orders from customers and input into ERP.
  • Confirm pricing, quantity, product, and other details associated with orders.
  • Maintain customer relations and be available to talk to international customers when needed.
  • Coordinate needs of customers with the Customer Service Manager and Export Sales Manager for order planning and manufacturing to minimize lead time of products.
  • Stay aware of production schedule to communicate with customers on lead time of products and completion for shipment of orders.
  • Work with Customer Service and Production to keep up with load schedule changes (Rolled bookings).
  • Complete export shipment process, including but not limited to drayage arrangement, which requires coordination with internal departments and external vendors (booking, document preparation, tracking and tracing).
  • Work with the banks in creating bank drafts and BL consignment for LC's.
  • Compile shipment documents (CI, PL, BL, and other requested export documentation) and send to international customers.
  • Stays current on U.S. export regulatory changes and proposed legislation as well as other global initiative and legislation.
  • Additional responsibilities in accordance with supporting the team that are deemed necessary by manager.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • High level of reading, writing, math, and computer skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision
  • Must be dependable and trustworthy
  • Ability to handle complexity, multiple projects and requests, and short timelines
  • Detail oriented, accurate and excellent record keeping skills
  • Strategic thinker with good judgment, decisiveness, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate with international customers at various times of the day
