What you'll be doing
\n
As an Export Coordinator, you'll be responsible for:
\n
- \n
- Managing export bookings and enquiries
- Prioritising freight forwarding activities
- Ensuring customer requirements are met
- Coordinating multimodal export shipments across sea, air and road freight
- Preparing, checking and maintaining accurate customs paperwork
- Liaising with third-party logistics providers
- Ensuring smooth movement of goods
- Negotiating competitive rates and terms with suppliers and logistics partners
- Supporting incoming sales leads
- Contributing to the development of new business and existing customer relationships
- Working closely with the Branch Manager and colleagues
- Maximising departmental performance, profitability and opportunities for growth
- Creating and maintaining shipments within LBase
- Ensuring all job costs are accurately recorded and information is kept up to date
- Processing export and cross-trade invoices promptly
- Liaising with the Accounts team to resolve sales or cost queries
- Providing accurate shipment updates, data entry and logistical support to assist B2B sales activities
- Contributing ideas to improve supply chain efficiency
- Streamlining processes and reduce lead times
- Supporting colleagues during busy periods
- Providing holiday and absence cover to maintain a consistent service
- Assisting with the training and development of new team members when required

What we're looking for
\n
As Export Coordinator, you'll bring:
\n
- \n
- Previous experience in export freight forwarding, export operations or a similar international logistics
- Knowledge of sea, air and road freight processes
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with customers, suppliers, overseas agents and internal stakeholders
- Commercial awareness, including the ability to negotiate rates, monitor costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Good IT and data-entry skills
- Experience using freight management systems such as LBase an advantage
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to resolving queries
- The flexibility to support colleagues and contribute to the wider success of the department
