Experienced Welder/Fabricator

Com-Fab, Inc is a metal fabrication and facility that builds Housing, Tanks and Stairs for Generators. The Welder/Fabricator is assigned to the Metal Shop in Columbus Ohio

Employees assigned to the Metal Fabrication area operate power hand tools such as drills, screw guns, staple guns, routers and orbital sanders

Our mission is to satisfy customers by safely, quickly, and accurately assembling our product. The Welder/Fabricator position also includes: assisting other team members by preventing schedule backups and safely, quickly, and accurately assembling products. Responsibilities

• Employees assigned to the Metal Fabrication area operate power hand tools such as drills, screw guns, staple guns, routers and orbital sanders Rivet gun.
• Our mission is to satisfy customers by safely, quickly, and accurately assembling Generator Housings, tanks and stairs
• A General Laborer will assist other team members by preventing schedule backups and safely, quickly, and accurately assembling products
• Manufacturing shop environment with regular exposure to dust
• Common work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Check equipment for working order and work area for safety
• Read work orders (shop drawing), cut bill, and blueprints as needed
• Operate hand and power tools (drills, screw guns, staple guns, routers, orbital sanders, tape measure, clamps, hammer, screwdrivers, )
• Clean and Grind a variety of metal assist in Metal Fabrication
• Assisting in inventory
• Operate a fork lift
• Maintain a clean work area, Routine lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED; ability to read English
• Experience Mig Welder,

Robotic Welding Knowledge a plus

• Ability to Mig Weld both steel and aluminum
• Ability to operate power hand tools
• Ability to read tape measure
• Shop drawing and blueprint reading
• Safety Awareness
• Quality
• Safety glasses and gloves are required
• Strive working to advance to Team Leader.

Regularly standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, repetitive hand and arm motion. At times outside loading and or unloading work. Routine lifting up to 50 lbs. Safety glasses and gloves provided by CSC

Safety Shoes Required (provided by Employee)
