We are seeking an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our expert team. Our skilled technicians are equipped to handle repairs and maintenance for a wide range of trucks and vehicles. The successful candidate will lead complex diagnostics and repairs, and ensure all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. From diagnostics to engine rebuilds, you will be a key part of our team's expertise, helping to keep our clients' diesel engines running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of diesel engines and vehicles, including specialized heavy equipment and commercial fleets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repairs and installations.
- Manage a preventive maintenance schedule to maximize vehicle uptime.
- Recommend and schedule follow-up appointments to maintain the vehicle in good condition
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and utilize power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Enforce and model strict adherence to all safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, proper lifting techniques, and waste disposal regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop area.
- Provide detailed reports on work performed, parts used, and any further recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic required
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel injection, turbochargers, and emissions controls.
- Expertise in using diagnostic software and tools for various vehicle brands.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE Certification) are highly .
- Valid and clean driver's license
- CDL is but not required
