Job Description:
Stonefield Engineering and Design is currently recruiting a Project Engineer/Manager to join the Site/Civil Engineering Team. This dynamic position offers diverse interactions and rapid growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire for ongoing growth and learning. As a multi-disciplinary firm, we encourage interest in cross-disciplinary work within Civil Engineering. Responsibilities include teaching and training entry- to mid-level designers and analysts, designing site layouts, grading, stormwater management, utilities, landscaping, lighting, and soil erosion and sediment control measures. The role also involves project management, zoning and land development permitting, field inspection, hydraulic and hydrologic design and analysis, site plan drafting, environmental impact assessment, and preparing project reports.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Ideal candidates will possess skills such as AutoCAD proficiency, grading and drainage design experience, fieldwork, and technical writing. We value individuals who seek challenges and innovation in the industry. Minimum requirements include:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
At least 4+ years of experience in site and grading design, zoning, and site plan permitting
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Knowledge of Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and technical writing is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a team
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated
