A well-established architectural practice based in North Devon is seeking an experienced Architect to join its collaborative and expanding team. The practice is recognised for delivering high-quality residential and commercial architecture across rural and countryside locations throughout the South West. Its portfolio includes bespoke homes, conversions, commercial developments, and heritage and conservation projects, all driven by a strong commitment to context-sensitive, landscape-led design.

Daily Duties
Leading and supporting projects from concept through to completion
Preparing and submitting planning applications, including statements and supporting documentation, with administrative support
Managing the planning process and liaising with local authorities
Producing high-quality design proposals and technical drawings
Undertaking site visits across North Devon and the wider South West
Delivering sustainable, context-sensitive rural architecture
Ideal Candidate
Fully qualified Architect with proven UK practice experience
Strong planning knowledge, including hands-on experience preparing and managing planning applications
Background in rural, residential, or commercial projects
Excellent design, technical, and presentation skills
Proficient in Revit (with D5 Render, SketchUp, and similar tools advantageous)
Confident communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach
Passionate about rural architecture and sympathetic, landscape-led design
Willing to support and mentor junior team members
