Executive Quantity Surveyor (Exec QS)

Exeter (3 days/week) | Home (1-2 days/week) |

£65,000 - £75,000 + Travel Covered



A highly regarded and exceptionally busy construction consultancy client is seeking an experienced Executive Quantity Surveyor to join their growing South West team. With a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure schemes and a healthy pipeline of secured work, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a consultancy that is both stable and expanding.



The Role



This position will ultimately be based out of the Bristol office (long-term), however the current live project requires 3 days per week on site in Exeter, with the remaining 1-2 days working from home. All travel to site is paid/covered.



You will take a key commercial lead on a major battery energy storage scheme - a significant greenfield development spanning approximately 300 acres, including a 1.5km connection into the transmission substation. The programme is circa 2 years in duration, offering long-term project exposure from delivery through to completion.

Key Responsibilities



Commercial leadership across a large-scale energy infrastructure project

Contract administration and commercial management under NEC4 ECC

Managing change control, compensation events, valuations and reporting

Working closely with project delivery teams and client stakeholders

Supporting risk management and commercial strategy

Ensuring contractual compliance across the lifecycle of the project



Requirements



Executive / Senior-level QS with 7+ years' experience

Strong background in infrastructure

Power / HV / Transmission experience

or heavy civil engineering experience

Must be fully NEC4 ECC literate

FIDIC experience advantageous

Comfortable working 3 days per week in Exeter (travel paid)

Happy to be Bristol office-based long term
