The EV Project Developer II will work out of our Commercial Markets Division in either Ontario, CA or Grand Rapids, MI. This role is responsible for the internal project development process, schedule, accuracy, and workflow. Daily components of this role include audit analysis, product specification, cost estimation, calculations of facility improvement measures, product research, and the preparation of proposals and supporting documents. All members of our team are expected to work together in a positive, respectful, and professional manner.

Target Salary: $75,000 - $80,000+ depending on experience

EV Project Developer II Responsibilities

  • Assist Account Managers with direct liaison to clients during the development process to determine customer’s specific technical requirements, project scope, definition of work and product/system feature needs.
  • Participate in site surveys, consultations, presentations and construction on complex or pilot solutions.
  • Meticulously evaluate site audits to select product and system solutions that will provide the client the optimal balance between cost savings, aesthetics and constructability.
  • Prepare and review submittal packages (including product data sheets, bill of materials, standard and customer drawings, layout and connection detail drawings; return on investment analysis, etc.) for content, accuracy, and alignment to proposal goals.
  • Review and edit standard drawings for typical product applications.
  • Review and present comprehensive proposals.
  • Collaborate with construction team to establish project cost estimates.
  • Upload and maintain all internal documentation in provided collaborative IT environment and manage document control processes.
  • Responsible for establishing and meeting design intent and specifications.
  • Responsible for large RFP and business development opportunities which will include creation of detailed proposal packages.
  • Manage Project Hand-Off calls and provide details to Project Managers and Account Executives.
  • Perform on-site assessments when necessary.
  • Any, and all ad hoc reporting, requests or other tasks deemed necessary.

EV Project Developer II Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field OR Journeyman license OR Certified Electrician a plus
  • 4+ years electrical quoting, industry experience and credentials required.
  • Strong understanding of NEC ( Electrical Code) requirements.
  • Knowledge of EV equipment and related technology .
  • Prior experience as an electrical apprentice but not required.
  • Experience performing sales liaison and client collaboration in energy or electrical related industries.
  • Excellent understanding of financial business principles.
  • Adept at project scheduling, task definition and effort estimation.
  • Ability to take project from concept to completion.
  • Strong design evaluation, documentation writing skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Professional communication and presentation skills.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision under time sensitive deadlines.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.

Physical Requirements

  • May regularly be required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, phone, and keyboard. May regularly need to lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
