Job Description
Expleo is seeking an experienced EV Charging Systems Validation Engineer to support a leading automotive client in delivering world‑class electric vehicle charging systems. This is a fully on-site role based in Coventry, working at the heart of an advanced engineering environment.\n\nYou will play a key role in validating charging systems, vehicle communication protocols, and HV components across multiple platforms. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in hands‑on testing, problem-solving, and working in fast‑paced automotive programmes.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\nHands‑on experience with EV charging systems, power electronics, or HV electrical systems.\nStrong understanding of CAN/LIN communication, Ethernet, and automotive diagnostic tools (Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.).\nKnowledge of charging protocols: CCS (Combo), NACS, CHAdeMO, GB/T, Type‑2, Type‑1.\nAbility to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and system requirements.\nExperience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analysers, and charging simulators.\nStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills.\nAbility to work independently in a fast‑paced engineering environment.\nExperience working within agile teams.
\n\nEssential Skills\n\nExperience with 400V/800V high-voltage systems.\nWorking knowledge of relevant standards: ISO 15118, IEC 61851, DIN 70121, ISO26262.\nUnderstanding of HV safety procedures & risk assessments.\nExperience with Vector and ETAS tools (e.g., CANoe, INCA).\nHVCAP (or SA7) Training.\nFull UK driving licence (Class 2/3). \n\nExpleo is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.\n Applicants must have existing Right to Work in the UK
