Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estimating / Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and project management, with a focus on Commercial and Industrial Painting, Polish Concrete, and Resinous Flooring. The applicant should be looking to lay a foundation with a company for a long term career with a successful and supportive team.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize software to develop and manage project estimates effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure financial targets are met.
• Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular reviews of estimates against actual costs to identify variances and improve future estimates.
• Train and mentor junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the estimating team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in estimating software, particularly On-Center.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective contracts that meet project needs.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in cost control processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• 5+ years as a commercial paint estimator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
