Estimator/Project Manager
Job Description
This position will be responsible for preconstruction estimation as well as project management. This role is crucial in the process of securing and managing DOD and FAA contracts. The role will be responsible for the following:
Cost Estimation: Developing accurate cost estimation to include labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
Proposal Development: With the help of the proposal coordinator, this position will be responsible for crafting bid packages that comply with federal acquisition regulations like FAR/DFARS.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations throughout the contracting process.
Project Planning and Execution: Developing plans, setting timelines and managing resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Budget: Managing project budgets, tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and ensure projects stay on track.
Contract Management: Overseeing contract administration and managing change orders.
Closeout: Managing the closeout process, final inspections, documentation, and handover.

Requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Construction, Engineering or Architecture
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of construction management experience or comparable skills in a related field
- Airfield concrete pavement estimating experience is a plus
- CPE certification is a plus
- Agtek experience or other heavy civil takeoff software
- Timberline Estimating software experience
- Sage Estimating
- On-Screen takeoff experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must know Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with Primavera, Procore, Sage Accounting, RMS, and Smartsheet is
- Must be selfâmotivated and punctual
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally
