Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope and requirements
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for hardscape and amenity installations
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Develop complete and competitive budgets in alignment with company goals
- Collaborate with sales teams to clarify scope and pricing strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, labor costs, and industry standards
- Track and analyze historical data for continuous improvement in estimating accuracy
- Assist in value engineering and cost-saving recommendations for clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating experience in hardscape, landscape construction, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of hardscape materials (pavers, stone, concrete, retaining walls, etc.) and site amenities (benches, shade structures, playgrounds, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Sage Estimating and On Screen Takeoff.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
