Join Our Team as an Estimator! \n\nAre you ready to take your estimating skills to the next level? Our client is a leading multinational high-technology company with 80 years of experience in designing and manufacturing electro-optic and high precision sensors.
We're currently on the lookout for a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our dynamic commercial client in Croydon, London.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nEstimator\nFull Time in the office\nCroydon Based\nMonday - Thursday: 8am-4:45pm\nFriday: 8am - 12:30pm\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPrepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.\nCollaborate with key stakeholders to gather information on work scope and manufacturing requirements.\nMaintain routine business quotes and orders efficiently.\nPrepare quotations and proposals for new and existing customers.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities.\nUse ERP systems and spreadsheets to generate accurate cost breakdowns.\nEvaluate vendor/supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.\nMonitor changes in work scope and adjust estimates as needed.\nSupport continuous improvement by analysing data and identifying trends.\nCommunicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external customers.\nAssist in invoicing and shipping when necessary.What We're Looking For:\n\n2-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing or engineering environment.\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.\nExcellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.\nAttention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.\nStrong organisational and prioritisation skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nProven track record of providing high-quality customer service support.\nStrong interpersonal skills to build successful working relationships.What We Offer:\n\nA friendly working environment and an inclusive, positive company culture. \nRegular opportunities for internal and external development.\n25 days of holiday per year. \nPension plan \nLife Insurance coverage.\nEmployee Assistance Programme for your well-being\nTraining & Development opportunities (both in-house and external).\nCoaching and Mentoring programmes.\nFun employee events throughout the year.
