We’re looking for an experienced Estimator/Detailer to support commercial construction projects specializing in doors, frames, and hardware. Our company has been in business for over 30 years, built on a reputation for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and long-term client relationships. In this role, you’ll be responsible for estimating project costs, preparing detailed take-offs, and interpreting plans and specifications to ensure projects are accurately scoped and priced.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed estimates, material take-offs, and proposals for upcoming projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings to determine project requirements and scope.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to clarify details and resolve questions.
- Track material pricing, vendor quotes, and assist with procurement planning.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely project data.
- Support the team with project budgeting, scheduling, and cost analysis as needed.
What You Bring
- Commercial construction experience is required, preferably in doors, frames, and hardware.
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project or similar project management/estimating software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
Work Environment
- Office-based role with occasional site visits.
- Occasional overtime may be required during peak estimating periods.
