The Estimator is to review assigned Requests for Quotation (RFQ's) documents, determine the scope of supply desired by the customer, and to determine an accurate cost for the provision of those items to the customer.

General Duties:

1. Review and develop costs for items delineated in RFQ's while striving to achieve efficient and accurate cost evaluations.
2. Maintain positive working relationships with clients and customers through fair, friendly, and professional consulting through providing timely responses to correspondence and communications with customers in a professional manner.
3. Identify risks in inquiry packages and minimize company risk vulnerability by taking exception to specific and terms contained in RFQ packages as needed.
4. Support the sales and estimating strategy developed for each quotation that will best position the company to win the impending contract.
5. Offer ideas for problem resolution or profit enhancement during quotation stage and during contract negotiations with clients and customers.
6. Seek necessary input from other departments as needed.
7. Work with the Sales Department to develop and maintain a follow up system of all open quotes.
8. Provide any required reports accurately and on time.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Associates Degree in Engineering or Business with Estimation experience is Highly .
2. Two to Five years of related/comparable Estimating experience needed. (Pipe Support, Construction, or Utility experience is ).
3. Must have strong Business Communications and Excel Skills.
4. Problem solving and organizational skills with a strong desire to learn.

This position will receive specialized training unique to the Pipe Support Fabrication industry.
