Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer RFQs, artwork, and packaging specs to develop accurate cost estimates
• Calculate material usage, press time, finishing operations, and tooling costs (e.g., dies, embossing plates, cores)
• Collaborate with Sales, Prepress, and Production teams to validate specs and optimize cost scenarios
• Maintain and update estimating tools, cost databases, and vendor pricing
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through SKU grouping, shared tooling, and efficient run planning
• Prepare formal quotes and pricing breakdowns for internal and external stakeholders
• Review historical jobs to compare estimated vs. actual costs and refine future estimates
• Stay current on substrate trends, adhesive technologies, and converting innovations

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in label or packaging estimating (pressure sensitive )
• Strong understanding of flexographic and digital printing processes
• Familiarity with label materials (papers, films, adhesives, liners) and finishing options
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
