Commercial Construction Estimator
Our client is an award-winning commercial general contractor based in the Twin Cities. They are seeking a talented Commercial Construction Estimator to join the team!

As a Commercial Construction Estimator, you'll play a key role in our project success by:
- Reviewing drawings and specifications to determine quantities and pricing.
- Coordinating subcontractor bids by preparing bid invitations, reviewing bid scopes and pricing, scheduling site visits, and securing competitive pricing.
- Accurately calculating labor, equipment, and material costs for wood frame and other commercial construction projects and remodels.
- Developing bid presentations and communicating with low bidders for final overview and bid accuracy.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, including researching and qualifying new partners and maintaining lists.
- Participating in pre-bid meetings, as needed.
- Preparing essential project documents, material release schedules, client information, and project schedules to ensure seamless transitions for Project Managers.
- Represent in presentations to owners and architects as required.
What We're Looking For
Want to stand out? Here's what we're looking for:
- At least 2 years of estimating experience on commercial construction projects.
- Familiarity with wood frame construction techniques.
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and perform material takeoffs and estimates.
- Proven ability to meet bid deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating software like On-Screen Takeoff (or comparable tools).
- Excellent communication skills for working with professional contractors.
- A degree and/or certification in Construction Management, Estimating, or Architecture is strongly .
- Passion for the commercial construction industry.
