We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a broad range of estate planning and probate matters, including drafting wills, trusts, and handling gift tax planning. Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a wide range of estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters.
2. Draft, review, and revise various estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
3. Represent clients in probate and trust administration proceedings, including the preparation and filing of all necessary court documents.
4. Engage in gift tax planning and other sophisticated estate planning techniques to minimize clients' potential tax liabilities.
5. Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans that align with clients' financial goals and objectives.
6. Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on changes in estate planning and probate law to ensure the provision of accurate and timely advice to clients.
7. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional customer service and regular communication.
8. Participate in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and other marketing efforts to grow the firm's estate planning and probate practice.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and probate law, with a strong emphasis on drafting wills, trusts, and gift tax planning.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of estate, gift, and income tax laws.
5. Exceptional analytical, research, and drafting skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
8. Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
10. Proven track record of business development and client relationship management.
11. Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the state bar ().
12. LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning ().
