Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for an Estate and Environmental Service Team Manager to join Croydon Council.\n\nContract: Temporary \nPay: £26.68 per hour PAYE or £35.48 per hour Umbrella\nHours: 36 hours per week, working Monday - Friday\nA full UK driving licence is required for this roleAbout the Role:\n\nCroydon Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Estates and Environmental Services Team Manager to lead a high-performing team delivering a first-class, customer-focused estates and environmental maintenance service.\n\nIn this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our estates are clean, safe, and welcoming for - while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and outstanding customer service standards.\n\nYou'll lead and develop teams of Caretakers and Bulk Refuse staff, ensuring services are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our vision for vibrant, well-maintained communities across the borough.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead, motivate and support caretaking and environmental services teams to deliver high-quality, responsive services.\nEnsure compliance with all health and safety, data protection, and regulatory standards.\nDrive service improvements, embedding a culture of excellence and accountability.\nMonitor performance, budgets, and contracts to ensure value for money.\nEngage effectively with , contractors, and partners to ensure community needs are met.\nConduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high environmental standards across estates.About You:\n\nYou'll be an effective and inclusive leader with experience managing estates or housing services within a diverse community.
