Equipment Service Technician - Refrigeration Certified
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary:
The Equipment Services Technician is responsible for delivering, installing, servicing, and removing vending and cooling equipment for Coca-Cola customers across our market. This includes reconditioning and repairing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and presentation. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, excellent customer service, and a valid refrigeration certification.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and reconditioning of vending machines and coolers, including washing, painting, applying decals, and replacing refrigeration units.

Test and inspect machines to ensure full functionality before deployment.

Accurately complete and submit service invoices and paperwork, including logging all serial numbers and asset details.

Deliver, install, and remove equipment at customer locations as needed.

Stock delivered equipment with Coca-Cola products when applicable.

Assist with basic carpentry, vending machine assembly, and special events as needed.

Support other departments when required and respond to basic repair calls.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work vehicle and equipment area.

Uphold all company safety and compliance standards.

Communicate effectively with dispatch and coordinate installations with Full Service teams.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 1 year of experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or repair.

Valid EPA Refrigeration Certification required.

Valid NC driver’s license required.

Ability to read and interpret job orders, wiring diagrams, and safety instructions.

Strong math and reading skills.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and customer service .
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 65 pounds frequently and 30 pounds overhead occasionally.

Ability to push, pull, kneel, stoop, crawl, bend, climb ladders/stairs, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Ability to work in various weather conditions and around loud machinery.
Qualifications:

DOT medical certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Prior experience with beverage equipment is a plus.

Demonstrated history of reliability, initiative, and teamwork in previous roles.

This position involves both internal coordination with service departments and direct customer interaction. Strong communication, professionalism, and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates must successfully pass a background check, MVR review, and drug screening in accordance with company policy.
