Equipment Engineer in Katy

Job Description

Looking for a hands-on engineer who will support machinery, fixtures, tooling, process improvement, and thermal equipment manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), ERP systems, process simulation tools and SAP
• Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role, preferably within a thermal or related industry.
• Knowledge of brazing, welding, or thermal insulation techniques.
• Experience with testing procedures for thermal systems (e.g., pressure tests, thermal cycling).
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID and thermal schematics.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, PFMEA, control plans, and root cause analysis (RCA). Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• Fluent in Mandarin

Responsibilities

• :Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for thermal equipment and systems
• .Prepare and manage production schedules to meet customer and internal requirements
• .Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth production flow and troubleshoot bottlenecks
• .Identify inefficiencies in thermal manufacturing processes and implement lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methods
• .Lead efforts to reduce cycle time, scrap rates, and energy consumption in thermal production
• .Ensure compliance with quality requirement and standard
• sCollaborate with quality engineers to resolve product or process-related issues and drive corrective actions
• .Specify and maintain production tools, fixtures, and jigs used in manufacturing thermal components
• .Support installation, calibration, and maintenance of production machinery related to heat treatment, commissioning, or nitrogen charging
