Equipment Engineer
Job Description: The Role: Entegris is investing in a new, state of the art manufacturing facility in Taiwan. We are looking for a dynamic, versatile engineer who will be responsible for acquiring custom equipment needed to support our New Product Introductions. This process includes project management, specification development, vendor selection, design, procurement, validation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment. With the fast pace of innovations in semiconductors, you must be able to interact with staff in all functions to deploy assets to add capacity, replace older machines, meet New Product Introduction requirement and improve quality. We expect that you’ll collaborate, share and work as a team that partners closely with all stakeholdersIn this role you will: Engage with a variety of stakeholders including, Facilities and EHS, Procurement, R&D, Maintenance and Reliability, Controls Engineering and Operations personnel in the entire process development to commissioning and qualification. Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Maintenance and Reliability (DfMR), HAZOP, Risk assessment and FMEA to build a best-in-class equipment for manufacturing facility in Taiwan. Use a variety of inputs to develop a coherent specification document that clearly defines all aspects of the project. Design/Review the electrical diagram and P&ID. Work with the vendor to build up the equipment to enable the assets to be used for a variety of process flows. Develop and manage project plans to complete within schedule, budget and quality constraints. Work with Engineers, Maintenance and Reliability personnel and Operations to define PM programs (including spares inventories, frequency and timing and etc.) for new assets. Assist with classic New Product/Process Engineering responsibilities if the business dictates. This would include troubleshooting, failure analysis, SPC, Quality and Yield improvement. Provide guidance and support to teammates to complete all assigned task. Traits we believe make a strong candidate: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, but related experience in lieu of education may also be considered. 3~5 years of working experience in the engineering field in production environment. Experience in Project management, Automation equipment design and development. Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings, control drawings and electrical schematics. Experience working with servo motor, stepping motor, pump, sensors (i.e. temperature, level, pressure, flow etc.), and PLC (i.e. Allen Bradly/Mitsubishi/Keyence etc). Experience in technical drawing and use of CAD or modelling tools is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft application for writing technical report and documentation of procedures, change control and technical specification. Ability to provide guidance and support to teammates. Excellent communication and interpersonal skill. Positive mindset with creativity, good problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
