Title: Environmental Waste Supervisor
Starting Pay: 70-75k depending on experience
Bonus: Incentive Bonus Annually at 10% payout of gross

1st shift role 8:00am-4:30pm (Flexible, could do 7am-330pm)
Must Haves:
3-5 year of experience preferably with environmental waste management
RCRA and DOT experience
Must have a BS in Environmental or Chemistry related subject
Waste profiling, characterizing, scheduling, manifesting, labeling, recycling, shipping
Manager Notes:
Greater than 3 years of experience of RCRA/DOT Hazardous Waste Management Regulations
Maintain Compliance in 90 day Large Quantity Generator Status facility
Operate Waste Drum pad
Liaison to Site Lead for waste management regulations
Ability to assist with Spill Response
Supervise 1-3 Environmental Technicians for waste conveyance and operations
Site Vehicle for on-site and off-site...must be able to qualify for Commercial insurance requirement. Clean driving record.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Develop TIS and review these safety documents with the crew routinely. This involves evaluating safety hazards on the job and determining and enforcing the necessary precautions, procedures, and PPE.
Inspect equipment and small tools to ensure they are in proper working condition, and red tag and remove from service any items that are damaged, broken, or malfunctioning.
Provide direction, equipment, small tools, materials, and supplies to support the crew.
Act as a customer or client liaison.
Prepare and submit job reports as directed by the site manager, director, or customer.
Make recommendations on equipment purchases, personnel needs, equipment maintenance, and other related matters.
Wear appropriate safety gear, including a respirator, while handling hazardous waste.
Load semi-trailers, tanks, and roll-off boxes for shipment to the disposal facility.
Perform and document daily equipment inspections prior to use.
Clean and maintain the organization and compliance of the Hazardous Accumulation Area.
Respond to chemical spill incidents by placing adsorbents on liquids, sweeping or vacuuming solids, and containerizing cleaned-up materials for proper disposal.
Assist the Project Manager with daily supply delivery, waste pick-up, and waste organization.
Perform inspections of waste storage areas and emergency equipment, taking corrective action to eliminate deficiencies identified during the inspection.
Inventory and inspect waste spill kits.
Act as a customer liaison.
Maintain necessary documentation of waste inventories, inspections, and other required activities.
Operate a fork truck to load and unload trucks.
Operate burden carriers.
Follow all plant-related safety guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Position requires wearing a respirator and additional PPE. High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years experience in waste management.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
