ENVIRONMENTAL --- UNDERGROUND OPERATOR II --- (Equipment Operator II)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Performing skilled work by assisting with the installation, maintenance and/or repair of various City wastewater/water infrastructure projects
• Operating various types of equipment, hand/power tools and/or vehicles required for assigned work projects

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma (or equivalent) PLUS two (2) years' experience in wastewater collection system and/or water distribution construction, maintenance and/or repair activities OR
• High school diploma (or equivalent) PLUS three (3) years' experience in underground construction, maintenance and/or repair activities

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

• Valid Driver's License
  • "Class B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements will be required within six (6) months
  • Distribution System 2 Certification may be required within two (2) years

• Is willing to "get dirty"
