ENVIRONMENTAL --- UNDERGROUND OPERATOR I - (Equipment Operator I)

What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled labor associated with the installation, maintenance and/or repair of the City's water distribution and wastewater collection systems
- Operate various types of equipment, hand/power tools and/or vehicles
- Automatic and manual transmissions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) PLUS one (1) year of experience in general construction, maintenance and/or repair activities, with underground experience
Licensing/Certification:
- Valid Driver's License
- "Class B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) will be required within six (6) months of employment
We Need Someone Who:
- Can perform manual labor tasks
- Can work within a "team" environment
- Enjoys working outdoors
- Has experience, or is willing to learn how to operate various types of hand/power tools, equipment and/or vehicles proficiently
- Is willing to get dirty
- Willing to work "on-call"
