Cox Enterprises is hiring an Environmental Sustainability to join our team! The Environmental Sustainability will work closely with Cox Conserves team members and others across the organization to support enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives. The will assist with executing Cox's multifaceted sustainability strategy, including working with internal and external partners to develop and implement projects that reduce the overall environmental impact of our operations, facilitating data collection and analysis efforts for enterprise and business unit reporting, and researching scalable sustainability management practices for complex organizations experiencing rapid new growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Strategic Support : Work closely with Cox Conserves and other cross-functional groups to support enterprise-wide conservation efforts and strategic programmatic development across carbon, water, waste and biodiversity

Data Collection & Analysis : Support the collection and analysis of sustainability data for Cox locations across our multiple divisions

Secondary Research : Conduct secondary research and summarize findings on how rapidly growing organizations effectively integrate new growth businesses into corporate sustainability strategy

Other Duties : The may have other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required :

Passion for environmental sustainability and resource conservation

Understanding of organizational sustainability practices

Familiarity with sustainability management principles

:

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field

Experience with Microsoft 365 apps and services such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and geospatial software

LEED, ISSP, or similar certifications

Key Skills

Good operational and project management abilities

Strong communication (both written and verbal) and stakeholder engagement skills

Proven critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Working Conditions

This role may require up to 5-15% travel to various business locations and external engagements.

/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.

USD 21.49 - 32.26 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $21.49 - $32.26/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
