Job DescriptionJob Description
Our team is growing, and we are seeking a qualified Staff Scientist with 4–5 years of proven experience in environmental consulting tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental compliance inspections, site investigations, preparing technical reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance across a variety of properties (commercial real estate, industrial & manufacturing facilities, farm & ranch acreage, oil & gas properties).
Work Location: In person at CRG Texas Environmental Services, Inc in Rosenberg, TX
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Geology, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of Texas environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental research data tools.
- Ability to lift 45+ pounds, walk long distances and work in various outdoor weather and terrain conditions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across Texas.
Qualifications
- HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.
- Experience with GIS mapping and environmental modeling.
- Familiarity with TCEQ and other Texas regulatory bodies.
- Professional credentials (e.g., EIT, PG, CHMM) are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II ESAs, field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
- Prepare technical reports including TCEQ and RRC release determination, assessment, and corrective action reports.
- Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and conduct SWPPP inspections.
- Analyze environmental data and prepare clear, concise technical reports.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all project phases.
- Collaborate with management and peers to effectively and efficiently provide excellent Client services.
