Environmental Engineer – Water / Wastewater Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON Industry: Consulting Engineering and Construction The opportunity: MT Talent Solutions Inc. is proud to partner with a leader in the consulting engineering and construction space. They are looking to add an Environmental Engineer to their Greater Toronto Area operations. The Environmental Engineer will play a key role in the expansion of the company in Canada. What you will do in the role: Leading and completing tasks/assignments on water and wastewater projects in Ontario (primarily municipal) responsible for investigations, operational troubleshooting, analysis, process design, technology assessment, and preparing technical memos and reports. Completing tasks and assignments for process, mechanical, hydraulic design and supporting construction of water and wastewater infrastructure. Collaborating with the provincial Team Leader, as well as Sales and Marketing to provide input for proposals. Works within multi-disciplinary teams to gather, analyze and compile technical information for projects and proposals. May mentor and provide support to other team members, including teams in other offices. Consistently strives to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and other key stakeholders. What you will bring to the role: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or other relevant area of study. Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license is an asset. EIT is preferred. A minimum 3 years' experience in water and wastewater engineering/processes including notable experience in the Ontario market. Experience completing technical, process and design activities for water projects, and preparing technical memos and reports. Experience working directly with clients in a professional and consultative manner. Experience with business development activities, such as preparation of proposal scope and resource requirements, is an asset. A proven ability to work in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor. Strong computer skills including MS Office, project management software. Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize work and pivot accordingly to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met.
