The School Sisters of St. Francis a Catholic Women’s Community, and non-profit organization located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is looking for a part-time Kitchen Utility Aide.

SUMMARY: The Environmental Services/ Kitchen Utility Aide will ensure the thorough cleaning of the kitchen and dish room. Maintaining all inventories at proper levels. Individual must be knowledgeable on the proper use of dish machines, commercial kitchen appliances, cleaning and sanitation of equipment.

This position is scheduled for 60 hours per pay period. Typical hours are Monday-Friday 4:00pm-10:30pm. 

Pay starting at $18.00+ per hour, based on experience.

Position is benefit eligible.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2+ years of Housekeeping experience required.

• 2+ years of Housekeeping experience in a health care and or kitchen setting .

• Floor Cleaning experience required.

• Positive, upbeat, friendly personality

• Good communication skills

Responsibilities include:

1.   Follows protocol regarding mop, rags and gloves.

2.   Operates dishwashing machine.

3.   Knowledgeable about the safe use of all janitorial equipment.

4.   Deep clean all functional equipment in the kitchen areas and dish rooms.

5.   Clean and polish stainless steel around hoods; clean hood, vents and grates.

6.   Sweep, mop and polish floors in the kitchen, dining halls and dish rooms.

7.   Ability to move equipment/kitchen appliances to clean behind, under and above equipment and surrounding areas.

8.   Maintains the cleaning of floormats, garbage cans, flatbed carts and push carts.

9.   Clean air ducts, vents and grates.

10. Sweep and mop dry storage area including under all shelves as needed.

11. Wash walls and base boards in kitchen and dish rooms

12. Clean windows and windowsills.

13. Handles cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer’s precautions.
