Environmental Service Associate-Per diem

Under the direction of the EVS Supervisor, performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, corridors, stairwells, elevators, and any other assigned area. Clean in accordance with the standard cleaning and infection control procedures of Sodexho Marriott Services and Bridgeport Hospital.

Responsibilities

Cleaning Techniques

Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and methods after initial training, including dusting, trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, floors, walls, windows, and polishing surfaces.

Replenish room supplies and perform room discharge cleaning.

Inspect work for quality and safety.

Maintenance & Cleanliness

Complete cleaning tasks promptly, measure and dilute chemicals correctly, maintain equipment and work stations, and assist with emergency spills and repairs.

Safety

Enforce safety policies, use protective equipment, report accidents, demonstrate fire evacuation, and adhere to lockout/tagout procedures.

Additional Tasks

Perform other duties as assigned and attend meetings and in-services as required.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED .

Experience:

Not specified.

Special Skills:

Ability to speak and understand English, pass pre-employment screenings, properly use supplies and equipment, lift 50 pounds, and complete .

Physical Demands:

Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, walking, stooping, and vision requirements, with or without accommodations.
