Environmental Project Manager – Environmental Consulting & Remediation

Location: 2 Commercial St., Suite 2, Sharon, MA 02067 | Full-Time | Environmental Consulting & Remediation

EnviroTrac LLC is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee environmental remediation, site assessments, and regulatory compliance projects throughout Long Island and the surrounding area. This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental scientist with a strong background in environmental consulting to gain experience with high-profile projects for diverse clients in retail petroleum, oil & gas, government, insurance, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution - Plan and execute projects to meet client needs and objectives in the following areas:

  • Site Investigation: Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, feasibility studies, and related evaluations.
  • Remedial Design: Development and implementation of Phase IV, LRA, IRA, and RAM plans.
  • Remedial Construction & Implementation: Oversee field activities, construction management, and system installation.
  • Permitting: Prepare and coordinate environmental permits (e.g., NPDES RGP, Conservation Commission filings, SWPPP, SPCC, MassDOT access).
  • Project Planning & Waste Management: Manage logistics, scheduling, and proper waste characterization and disposal.
  • Retail Petroleum Projects: Lead investigation, design, and remediation efforts at retail petroleum facilities.
  • Operations & Maintenance: Oversee the operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
  • Project Management: Manage projects of varying scope and complexity across multiple environmental service areas, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Business Development: Participate in proposal development, client presentations, networking events, and other business development activities.
  • Financial Management: Develop project budgets and cost estimates; monitor expenditures and financial performance throughout project execution.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior engineers, scientists, and technicians; promote technical growth and professional development within the team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Apply knowledge of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP); familiarity with environmental regulations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island .
  • Contractor Oversight: Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare, review, and finalize technical reports, data evaluations, and other project deliverables.
  • Data Management: Collect, organize, and interpret environmental data to support sound technical conclusions and recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education - Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience - 12+ years of experience working on environmental investigation/remediation projects or equal.
  • Proficiency - Competent in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and ability to work with computerized database searches.
  • Licensing - Registrations or Licensing (i.e. - P.E., LSP, LEP, LSRP, LRS, QEP, P.G., AI, other) in area of expertise. LSP Licensing or career track to obtain license within one to years required.
  • Technical Knowledge - Proficiency in environmental site assessments, remediation technologies, Phase I/II ESAs, hydrogeology, compliance auditing.
  • Certifications - OSHA 8-hour and 40-hour HAZWOPER (required), Asbestos/Lead/Mold Certifications, CPR certification, valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirement - Physical ability to work in the field under all weather conditions, climb ladders, stairs and walk on a variety of terrain.
  • Other Requirements - Ability to travel for field work and participate in on-call emergency response rotation.
