Environmental Project Manager
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSovereign Consulting Inc. seeks an Environmental Project Manager with 4+ years of environmental management experience to be based out of the Cherry Hill, NJ or Robbinsville, NJ locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of environmental projects with a focus on industrial/chemical sites.
Responsibilities for the position are:
- Direct oversight and execution of consulting tasks for remediation projects
- Interaction with clients, third-parties, and regulators
- Budget management and project cost-to-closure estimation
- Oversight and management of field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, monitoring well installation, excavations, and remedial action implementation
- Supervision and guidance of staff level positions
- Collection of supplemental site characterization data and information and review of historical files/records
- Preparation of milestone reports per New Jersey/other States/EPA Rules and Regulations
Position requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Project Manager with direct oversight responsibilities for remediation projects
- Industrial/chemical manufacturing site experience preferred
- Familiarity with EPA Rules and Regulations, especially TSCA and RCRA
- Extensive knowledge of NJDEP guidance, Rules and Regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with regard to writing technical reports and contributing to proposal preparation, project scoping, and project budget tracking
- Organizational skills and prior experience with MS Office products
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training. Current 8-Hour refresher preferred

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
