You will also work closely with our existing team of highly experienced project and test engineers to define and deliver environmental test programmes.\n\nYou will provide a technical focal point for all stages of the product lifecycle, through concept definition, design aid, formal qualification and certification and onto in-service support. Our expertise covers the areas of: environmental requirement specification and management; definition of proving methodologies; certification; project management; data analysis; simulation and modelling and testing in climatic, mechanical (vibration and shock) and fatigue.\n\nYou will act as a technical interface with customers in the delivery of technical work packages. Including the planning, delivery and monitoring of assigned work packages, making engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority to ensure projects are delivered to plan.\n\nSome of the key challenges for the role include:\nEffectively dealing with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently, cross-projects.\nInteraction with the customer community at a high level, maintaining integrity of engineering outputs.\nEnsuring adherence to delivery timescales and costs, whilst supporting complex technical engineering projects\nContributing to EE&F strategy to keep pace with emerging technologies and threats.What we're looking for from you:\nEducated to degree level or with equivalent experience.\nExperience of planning, managing and delivering small to medium sized work packages.\nKnowledge of environmental engineering within the defence sector or relevant industry.\nKnowledge of vibration, shock, temperature and humidity environments, and their applicability to different products at different life cycle stages.\nAn understanding of environmental test processes, test measurements and instrumentation.\nKnowledge of international Environmental Standards (DEF STAN 00-035 / AECTP 300 / AECTP 400 / Mil-std 810 etc.)\nSomeone with an analytical mind and excellent problem solving skills.\nSomeone who strives for solutions with an inquisitive nature.\nGood verbal and written communication abilities.\nEffective at working in teams with strong interpersonal skills.Our company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given.\n\nMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
