About Our Client
Our client is a multinational IPP that has a track record in developing, owning and operating utility-scale solar, storage, wind and gas projects across the world with a significant portfolio of projects within the US. They are creating a new position for an Environmental Planning & Permitting Manager to expand on their existing portfolio of work within the US, specifically across WECC, CAISO & SPP.
Job Description
The Environmental Planning & Permitting Manager will be responsible for:
Oversee all environmental & permitting activities for the company's renewable development portfolio, from early-stage development through construction and into operations.
Develop & implement permitting strategies across multiple ISOs (local, state, federal level).
Lead a team of 2 environmental professionals on the best practices and ensuring consistent application of environmental policies across our portfolio.
The main point of contact for negotiations with regulatory agencies.
Oversee environmental planning processes to ensure that all company projects comply with local, state and federal environmental regulations.
Manage the acquisition of necessary permits and approvals for various projects, coordinating with regulatory agencies and ensuring timely submissions.
Oversee the preparation and submission of environmental documents.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure projects remain on time and within the necessary regulations to proceed through to operation.
Conduct and manage environmental and permitting due diligence for potential acquisitions, greenfield, and brownfield development opportunities.

The Successful Applicant
The Environmental Planning & Permitting Manager will have:
5+ years of experience within the renewables industry
1+ years of experience with gas projects
Familiarity with solar, wind, storage or gas projects and permit planning across the US.
Significant experience in environmental regulations across the US.
Bachelors degree within a relevant field is .
Experience in people management is as the role will have 2 direct reports.
What's on Offer
The successful Environmental Planning & Permitting Manager will be eligible for:
$140,000 - $160,000 base salary
20% annual bonus
LTIP
Comprehensive fringe benefits
Hybrid schedule - 2-3 days in office.
