We are seeking a senior level professional with ten plus years of experience in the environmental field who is looking to take on a leadership role in our growing, innovative firm which is focused primarily on subsurface investigation/remediation and strategic environmental planning in southern California. We are seeking a highly motivated seller-doer with a proven track record in working with new and existing clients to implement sophisticated investigation/remediation projects, help to mentor staff and to actively participate in marketing efforts to facilitate long range personal and company growth and success. This position is located in our Long Beach, California office.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Scoping, planning and implementing innovative site investigation, remediation and mitigation programs.
  • Assessment of hydrogeologic conditions, evaluation of indoor air and vapor intrusion data, design and implementation of remedial programs involving multiple, synergistic remedial technologies and evaluation of chemical exposure risks.
  • Management of project scope, quality, budget, schedule & safety.
  • Development and review technical reports and proposals.
  • Fostering strong professional relationships and client trust.
  • Leading business development effort focused on new clients and projects.
  • Leading and mentoring staff to help them grow their careers.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in geology, civil/environmental engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated environmental consulting experience in California.
  • Experience in soil vapor extraction and a range of groundwater treatment technologies (including air sparging, reductive dechlorination, oxidation and/or thermal remedial processes).
  • A Professional Geology (PE) or Engineering (PE) in California.
  • Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word).
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Proven successful track record in developing new clients.
  • Experience and desire to lead technical teams.
