Job Title: Environmental Monitoring (EM) Core Technician
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Pay Range: $23-26/hr. on W2
Shifts Available: Day & Night Shifts
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour rotating schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off)
- Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 : 30 PM (12-hour rotating schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off)
- Training Requirement: Must be available to train on first shift (Monday–Friday, 5 days/week) for the first 4–6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences
- High School Diploma with intermediate lab experience in a cGMP clinical production environment acceptable
- 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Basic to intermediate lab experience required
- Cleanroom experience and aseptic techniques are a plus
Job Summary:
The EM Core Technician is responsible for supporting GMP-compliant manufacturing of clinical-grade viral therapies by performing environmental monitoring (EM), maintaining cleanroom conditions, and assisting in related laboratory and documentation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Environmental Monitoring (EM) during GMP viral therapy production
- Utilize aseptic technique during cell culture and product purification tasks (as needed)
- Coordinate EM equipment and supply needs with the QC EM team
- Prepare buffers and components; operate steam autoclave
- Operate EM equipment including Solairs, ApexZ50, and active air counters
- Draft, complete, and revise documentation including Batch Records and EM forms
- Operate manual, semi-automated, and automated production equipment
- Support cleanroom maintenance, setup, and stocking
