Position Summary

JK BioScience, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Laboratory Chemist/ Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead technical and support staff. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in environmental testing and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Also, who can perform heavy metals testing using PerkinElmer ICP-MS NexION 1000 and ICP-OES 8000 instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, workflow, and staffing
• Ensure compliance with ELAP, EPA, ISO/IEC 17025, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Oversee quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs and corrective actions
• someone who can perform heavy metals testing using PerkinElmer ICP-MS NexION 1000 and ICP-OES 8000 instruments.
• Review and approve analytical data, reports, and documentation
• Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory technicians and analysts
• Coordinate method development, validation, and implementation
• Maintain laboratory safety programs and ensure proper chemical handling and waste disposal
• Manage laboratory equipment, maintenance schedules, and calibrations
• Collaborate with management on operational planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement
• Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and internal teams as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field (master’s )
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in an environmental testing laboratory
• Prior laboratory management or supervisory experience required
