DuPont has an immediate opening for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Technician to support our Environmental Health & Safety programs at our Newark-Pencader, DE site.
The EH&S Technician supports the implementation and maintenance of Environmental Health & Safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards. This role assists in daily safety operations, data collection, training coordination, and incident follow-up, contributing to a proactive safety culture within the Pencader Vespel site in Newark DE.
Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:
Assist in the day-to-day execution of EH&S programs, procedures, and standards.
Support safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks across the unit.
Collect, organize, and report EH&S data (e.g., incident reports, safety metrics).
Help facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
Maintain EH&S documentation and records in accordance with site and regulatory requirements.
Participate in incident investigations and assist with documentation and follow-up actions.
Provide support in the development and review of safety procedures and job hazard analysis.
Coordinate scheduling and logistics for EH&S audits and training.
Engage with employees to promote safe work practices and identify improvement opportunities.
Assist with monitoring compliance to OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
Support Process Safety Management (PSM) activities under the guidance of the Unit PSM Leader
Your qualifications profile:
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial safety roles.
Basic understanding of EH&S regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Associate's degree or technical certification in safety, environmental science, or related field
Experience in high-hazard process environments.
Familiarity with PSM elements and auditing practices.
Prior experience supporting EH&S programs in a manufacturing setting.
