As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs at Four Hands.  This role will ensure our compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Most importantly, you will be at the forefront of shaping our proactive safety culture by protecting our people, vendors, and company assets. 
In This Role

  • Build and lead the implementation of strategic, prevention-focused environmental health and safety program​ 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training guidelines for employees at all levels 
  • Build and execute the rollout of Safety Committees from the ground up to evaluate risk and prevention; lead quarterly meetings and drive employee participation in safety efforts 
  • Facilitate annual training sessions to continue to promote a safe, healthy, and secure environment​ 
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Hazmat, DOT, and other applicable regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk analyses 
  • Assist and maintain new hire safety onboarding, ensure all employees are up to date on training and conduct quarterly audits for compliance​ 
  • Create and maintain the standard operating procedure for site inspections and safety observations; train and direct management to inspect facilities, work sites, and equipment for violations or hazards​  
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure safety policies and practices are followed and documented; investigate incidents, near-misses, and injuries, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence 
  • Track and analyze safety performance, prepare reports for leadership, and continuously identify opportunities to enhance the safety program in alignment with industry standards and best practices 
  • Review and update MSDS and SPCC plans while tracking and analyzing safety performance metrics; prepare and present reports to leadership 
  • Track and control inventory of safety supplies and equipment at all locations 
  • Supervise and lead safety team, ensuring efficient and effective safety operations  
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and audits 
  • Collaborate with warehouse managers, P&C, and operations leaders to integrate EHS into daily operations

Leadership and Team Management 

  • Supervise and lead employee(s), ensuring efficient and effective operations 
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively 
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed 
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging employee engagement and teamwork 
  • Foster strong communication within the team, ensuring clarity of roles, expectations, and goals 
  • Identify and address skill gaps or performance issues promptly, implementing development opportunities and support plans as needed 
  • Encourage innovation by involving team members in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives 


The Ideal Person

  • 5+ years experience in safety management experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification, First Aid/CPR certification, and forklift trainer certification  
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations 
  • Proven success leading safety initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and drive accountability without direct authority 
  • Strong relationship-building skills; able to collaborate across functions and build trust with frontline teams and leadership  
  • Strong and concise communicator with the ability to convey technical information to both frontline employees and executive leadership 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and continuous improvement in EHS 
  • Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Comfortable with continuous walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and reaching in a warehouse environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and maneuver items up to 225 lbs with assistance
  • Comfortable working in proximity to forklifts, loading docks, and furniture inventory
