Position Overview
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Lead is responsible for creating, implementing, and sustaining programs that ensure compliance with applicable regulations and foster a strong culture of workplace safety. This role is part of the site leadership team and has a reporting line to the local site director, with functional alignment to the broader corporate EHS organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee all site EHS programs to maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Promote a positive safety culture through proactive initiatives, training, and employee engagement.
- Lead site audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective/preventive action plans.
- Manage environmental compliance activities, including waste handling, air quality, and water systems.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on EHS performance metrics and regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations and projects.
- Maintain site-level emergency response and contractor safety management programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field ().
- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong working knowledge of occupational safety regulations; familiarity with ISO 14001 is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in driving improvements in safety performance and compliance outcomes.
