AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Environmental Engineering III in Austin, TX.

Job details:

Perform major portions of assigned water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related projects.

Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, preparation of technical memorandum, preparation of contract documents such as specifications and drawings.

Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

Perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Provide guidance to graduate engineers to complement disciplines, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Position requires:

Conventional water supply and treatment processes;

Conventional wastewater collection and treatment processes;

Setting up pipeline hydraulic models, using third party software such PipeNet;

Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);

Pump/lift station design;

Pipeline route analysis; and

Using recognized engineering software such as BioWIN, SUMO, WaterGems, StormCAD, or others.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
