NOVA Engineering and Environmental is seeking an Environmental Engineer / Geologist / Scientist for our Panama City Beach, FL office.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. This candidate can be an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with due diligence experience. This position offers excellent pay, commensurate with experience and tremendous benefits package. NOVA has a strong backlog of work, having recently been awarded many of the highest - profile projects in the southeast.
Duties:
- Perform Environmental field activities including: following safety protocols, travel to and from site, sample collection, equipment calibration, observations and/or monitoring, working with others and/or sub-contractors, and documentation
- Preparing and executing reports and other client correspondence
- Providing oversight, QA/QC, analysis, laboratory testing and field services as required to meet our Clients’ expectations
Requirements:
- Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology/Geoscience, Chemistry, Biology/Ecology, Natural Resources or Environmental Sciences Degree is required
- 2 – 5+ experience with environmental projects
:
- Engineering (E.I.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Geologist in Training (G.I.T) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) or Advanced Degrees are but not mandatory
- Experience with Phase I/II Site Assessments and other due diligence projects
- Groundwater and Soil Sampling experience
- Familiarity with FDEP SOPs
- Asbestos Inspector Accreditation
- Lead Based Paint Inspector License
- Florida Mold Assessor License
- Experience with NEPA and/or Threatened/Endangered Species Surveys and/or Wetland Delineation
