Job Title: Environmental Engineer

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory programs across a large-scale resort and infrastructure environment in Anaheim, CA. This role will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations while partnering closely with facilities, construction, operations, and safety teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with California environmental regulations, hazardous materials programs, and cross-functional coordination within complex operational environments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, DTSC, CalRecycle, AQMD, RWQCB, etc.)

  • Support hazardous materials and regulated waste management programs

  • Prepare, review, and submit environmental reports and regulatory documentation

  • Manage environmental permits and assist with renewals and inspections

  • Conduct environmental risk assessments and site evaluations

  • Partner with construction and facilities teams to ensure environmental compliance during capital projects

  • Develop and deliver environmental compliance training to operational teams

  • Interface with regulatory agencies during audits and inspections

  • Track environmental performance metrics and recommend process improvements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in California

  • Working knowledge of hazardous waste regulations (RCRA, Title 22 CA regs)

  • Experience preparing regulatory reports and managing inspections

  • Strong understanding of environmental permitting processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • CHMM or CHMP certification

  • Experience in large campus, resort, manufacturing, or infrastructure environments

  • Familiarity with stormwater (SWPPP), air quality compliance, or wastewater discharge permits

  • Experience working with regulatory agencies in Southern California
