EHS Manager – Construction (Scaffolding Focus)
Location: Tampa, FL (Local Candidates Only)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract (Immediate Start – February 2026)
Compensation: $45–$50 per hour | No per diem available
Position Overview
SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to support a major bridge and structural construction project in the Tampa Bay area. This position represents the General Contractor and requires strong experience in construction safety, specifically with scaffolding operations and field compliance oversight.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on safety professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a proven record of building strong safety cultures on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Conduct and document daily field safety inspections, audits, and scaffolding evaluations.
- Review scaffold designs, tagging systems, and ensure compliance with OSHA Subpart L and manufacturer specifications.
- Lead new hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
- Partner with project and field leadership to enforce site-specific safety programs.
- Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators and maintain EHS documentation.
- Act as a visible safety presence in the field to engage, educate, and mentor crews.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of direct experience in construction safety management representing a General Contractor.
- Demonstrated experience with scaffolding operations and regulatory compliance.
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 strongly .
- CHST or other BCSP credential a plus.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a local candidate based in the Tampa Bay, FL area (no per diem available).
- Available for immediate start through February 2026.
